Criminalising Dissent: Defend the Right to Protest against Israeli War Crimes

Monday 10th May, Council Chambers, Manchester University Student Union,  Oxford Road

We are seeing an increase in state repression with the criminalisation of the right to protest but also increased surveillance and demonization of legitimate protesters engaged in fighting for justice. Speakers will be discussing recent cases where those protesting against Israeli war crimes have been criminalised and imprisonment.

Concert for Peace June 2010

An Evening of folk music, fine food and Palestinian poetry at Saffron Restaurant, Cheetham Hill. Friday June 4th 2010 @ 7:30

This concert was originally scheduled for January as part of the events commemorating Operation Cast Lead in Gaza but was cancelled because of the snow. With the help of Saffron Restaurant GMDCND and Manchester PSC have now rearranged and expanded the event to include music, poetry and food in one ticket. It should be a memorable evening.

Tickets are £15 and include a meal and soft drinks. Saffron is licensed so feel free to BYOB.
