Trump’s “Deal of the Century” is nothing more than an attempt to legalise apartheid and further entrench occupation. Denying Palestinians their collective Right to Self Determination, Right to Return and an end to the Illegal Occupation.
Palestinian Community Association North West and the Palestine Forum have called for a protest this Saturday in Piccadilly Gardens at 1pm, this Saturday (1/2/2020).
The voices of the Palestinians must be heard. They cannot be excluded from negotiating their future and freedom.

Post Screen Discussion with Dr. Ruth Abou Rached, Postdoctoral Research Associate at Freie Universität Berlin.
Synopsis: The extra-marital affair between a Palestinian man and an Israeli woman has political consequences under Israeli rule.
Saleem from East Jerusalem works as a deliveryman. Sarah runs a café in West Jerusalem. Despite being worlds apart, they risk everything as they embark on an illicit affair, snatching moments in the night to meet. But Sarah is the wife of a high-ranking Israeli military official and a risky late-night tryst goes awry and threatens to expose them.
Caught up in the occupation machinery and socio-political pressure, Sarah and Saleem find themselves trapped in a web of deceit which not even the truth looks able to stop. This is Muayad Alayan’s second feature film.
Our discussion meeting on Thursday 21st November at Friend Meeting House will focus on campaigning work. In the first part of the meeting we will review our current boycott, divestment and sanctions campaigning activities including the Boycott Puma, Stop Arming Israel and Stop JNF campaigns.
In the second part of the meeting we will consider key questions that we confront whilst campaigning for Palestinian human rights on the street, or in political and human rights organisations.

Stand up for Palestine this Saturday 2pm Piccadilly Gardens for the Manchester Day of Action to Boycott Puma.
Join us on the second international day of action calling on Puma to end their complicity with Israeli apartheid.
Puma is the main sponsor of the Israel Football Association (IFA), which includes football clubs based in illegal Israeli settlements on stolen Palestinian land. All Israeli settlements are considered war crimes under international law.
As one of the world’s top athletic apparel makers, Puma’s sponsorship brings international legitimacy to the IFA and helps maintain its direct involvement with violations of human rights and international law off the field.
Take action and support the call from more than 200 Palestinian football teams for Puma to end its support for Israel’s military occupation by terminating its sponsorship deal with the IFA!
Join the National Day of Action calling for HSBC to #StopArmingIsrael!

HSBC invests in and provides financial services for companies providing military technology and weapons to Israel, which the Israeli military has used to commit war crimes and systematically violate international law. This includes investments of nearly £100million in the company Caterpillar.

Monday 5th August 6pm, outside Elbit Systems / Ferranti Technology Factory, Cairo House, Waterhead, Oldham OL4 3JA
For 3 days from July 1st to July 3rd protesters from Manchester Palestine Action occupied the roof of the Israeli Arms Factory Elbit Ferranti. There was also a peace camp on the ground that grew with many people from Oldham joining in. This is a chance to meet them and learn all about the campaign.
All of those involved had been to Palestine and have seen up close the devastating effect of the weapons that were built, developed and profited from by Elbit Systems. Elbit, who own the factory are Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer, making the drones that have been used to kill thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza. They sell these weapons as “battle tested”, which means tested on Palestinians.
Come and meet the rooftop protesters and learn more about the campaign to stop the Arms Factory on our doorstep
